Tembria API Installation and Deployment
System Requirements
Before proceeding, make sure that you have all of the required components installed:
Windows Server 2003 or later
1G RAM or more
1G Disk Space or more
IIS Web Server Installed
.NET Framework v3.5 SP1 or later
Installation
After you have verified that all the required components are present, run the Tembria API setup program. It will install the API components in the location that you choose. The next steps depend on what version of Windows you are running.
Post-Installation: Windows Server 2003
For Windows Server 2003: First make sure that the .NET Framework v3.5 SP1 or later is installed. If not, download it from the Microsoft web site before proceeding. Open the IIS Manager and create a new virtual directory. You can choose any alias for the virtual directory that you want. The path for the virtual directory must point to "C:\Program Files\Tembria\API" or whichever folder you selected to install the files in. The virtual directory requires permissions for "Read" and "Run scripts". In the "Web Service Extensions" section of the IIS Manager ensure that the ASP.NET component is set to "Allowed".
Post-Installation: Windows Server 2008
For Windows Server 2008: First make sure that the .NET Framework v3.5 SP1 or later is installed. If not, download it from the Microsoft web site before proceeding. Open the IIS Manager and create a new application. You can choose any alias for the application that you want. The physical path for the application must point to "C:\Program Files\Tembria\API" or whichever folder you selected to install the files in.
Testing the API
Once installation, navigate to the virtual directory or application that you created in the previous steps. The following files are available to test API operations before use in your own applications:
The URLs listed above will be slightly different if you choose a different application/virtual directory name or if you are accessing the system remotely.
