Type of Notifications
When a threshold is exceeded or something goes wrong at a remote site your staff
can receive notifications in a number of different ways. Tembria Multi-Site Monitor
supports notifications by e-mail, SMS text message, voice telephone calls and much more.
It can even run external programs and scripts you develop in order to integrate with
other systems or take corrective action.
E-mail Notifications
E-mail notifications can be sent to multiple recipients and distribution lists.
All e-mail notifications are template based which means you can send messages that are
best formatted for the recipient whether they be at their desktop or reading on their
mobile device. You can also customize the templates to format them to match your
corporate style and even add new fields with relevant monitoring information.
SMS Text Message Notifications
With SMS text message notifications Tembria Multi-Site Monitor can send text messages
to your mobile devices. Text messages go "over the air" bypassing your local network
so your staff will receive alerts even for critical events such as when your main
router is down or your Exchange Server is offline. All you need is an SMS modem
which are available for less than $90 and plan from your favorite cell phone carrier
that includes text messaging.
Voice Notifications
With a voice-enabled modem installed, Tembria Mult-Site Monitor can call you on your
phone and play a message. If you don't answer it will even leave you a voice mail
message. Like SMS text messages these alerts bypass your internal network, in this
case going over a phone line, so you receive alerts even in conditions where your
network infrastructure is failing or out of commission.
