ftp event monitor Description 
With the FTP event monitor you can check a variety of conditions of
an FTP server.
You can select to warn if the server is unreachable or if anonymous access is or is not enabled. You can also verify that it is possible to log in with a specified user id and password or to check to ensure that a particular file is or is not present. Usage Tips If you are responsible for one or more FTP servers, the option to warn if one or more of them are inaccessible helps you to minimize unexpected down time. In some environments, where the FTP server holds sensistive information an event monitor which ensures that anonymous access is not enabled can provide an additional safety net. Also, if network policy dictates that anonymous access FTP servers are simply not allowed, with just one event monitor instance you can monitor all of the workstations and servers on the network and be warned if an anonymous access FTP server is ever installed. table of contents |
