The HTTP/FTP tab shows the information about these type of servers
that was detected by Tembria Server Monitor.
HTTP When a device is added, Tembria Server Monitor attempts to connect to a web server on the device and if one is located it will try to identify it. Not all servers provide enough information that they can be identified however Tembria Network Monitor does recognize the majority of popular web servers. If one or more of the servers used in your environment is not detected by Tembria Server Monitor, please contact us and we'll ask for the necessary details to ensure it is included in the next release. FTP Tembria Server Monitor attempts to connect to an FTP server on the device and if it does find one it records the banner text and then tries to login as 'anonymous'. If it successfully logs in as 'anonymous' then then it records the welcome text displayed by the FTP server. table of contents |
