device details - ports Overview 
The ports tab lets you perform a full or limited port scan on the
selected device. Scanning the ports on a device is a great way
to detect potential vulnerabilities on the device and discover
the presence of software that maybe disallowed.
Tembria Server Monitor automatically recognizes the names of many ports that are commonly used by various applications and will list them by name and number. Other ports will be listed by their number. Note that port scanning a device can be interpreted as an attack on the device. You should only perform port scans on devices for which you have obtained permission to do so. table of contents |
