quick traceroute Overview 
Like the Quick Ping window, the Quick Traceroute window provides information
about the network device that is selected in the network or device list list view.
To show the Quick Traceroute window, select it from the View menu. Note that you can move, size and dock the Quick Traceroute window to the edges of the main window. When it is visible, the Quick Traceroute window issues multiple ICMP pings in order to trace the route to the selected machine and display the time that it takes to traverse each hop. If a network device appears to be inaccessible or is responding slowly, the Quick Traceroute window is an excellent way to tell if perhaps a particular node between you and the network device is responding slowly or has gone down. The Copy to Clipboard button provides a handy way to take the Quick Traceroute results and use them in other documents or import them into other applications. table of contents |
