Viewing Event Monitor Events
When you select an event monitor in the tree on the left, it brings you to the "Events" tab. When an event monitor runs it creates one or more event history records associated with the devices that it checked. Each event history record includes text describing what was checked, the date and time that it ran and whether or not the check was successful or not. The "Events" tab lists all of the event history records generated by the selected event monitor.
Showing Event Details
To expand an event and see the complete details, just click on it. Click on it again to collapse it and view other events.
Managing Events
Success events appear with a green icon and are displayed in regular text. Error events first appear in bold with a red icon and red text. The bold, red text draws your eye to the event so that you can view it and determine what needs to be done.
When you are done you can mark the event as viewed and move onto to whatever else requires attention. To do this, click on the green arrow beside the event. A menu will appear and you can select "Mark as Viewed". Once an event is marked as viewed is then displayed in regular text but it keeps its red icon to indicate that is represents and error event.
Selecting Multiple Events
To select multiple event history records use the checkboxes found on the left side. Once you have selected the events, use the green arrow to display the drop down menu. The title of the menu will confirm how many event history records you selected and show the available options.
Using Pagination and Filters
Each page includes 25 events and options, at the bottom of the list of events, let you navigate to other pages to back in time and view previous events. At the very bottom you'll find filtering options that allow you to focus in on events of specific types or from specific sources.
